Billie Jo Phillips, 93, passed away Wednesday, July 29, 2020 at home in Indianapolis, Indiana. Born in Waldron, Arkansas in 1927 to the late John and Edith Hand, Billie spent the majority of her life living in and around St. Louis, MO where her most fond and precious memories were created. She enjoyed listening to music, singing, baking and gardening, and together with her husband, Bob, enjoyed traveling and fishing. Billie especially loved creating and sharing stories of memorable moments spent with family and friends.
Billie is survived by her granddaughters, Kirstin McRee (Mike), Brittany Steff (Ian) and Blythe Grayson; three great-grandchildren, Zoe Kirkes and Daniel and Owen Steff.
Billie was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Phillips; daughter, Deborah Grayson; sisters Lorraine Wilkey and Evelyn Julius.
Services and burial will be held Friday, August 14, 2020 at 1:45pm at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, MO where Billie will be reunited with her beloved husband.
