Betty Jean Williams

Betty Jean Williams, 85, passed away on May 23, 2024. She was born on February 17, 1939 in Boone County, North Carolina to James and Waudie Mays.

Betty grew up in Mars Hill, NC where she also attended Mars Hill College. She moved from Mars Hill, NC to Indianapolis, IN to be with her beloved family.

She was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church while in Mars Hill.

Betty was a homemaker and loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is survived by her son, Randy (Doreen) Williams of Indianapolis; grandchildren, Chris (Michelle) Williams and Lauren (Rick) Harvey; and great grandchildren, Kaylyn, Lilly, Julianna, Judah and Penelope. Betty was preceded in death by her son, Rusty; brother, Loman; sister, Helen; and her parents, James and Waudie Mays.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
