Betty Lou (Mullinix) Nash, 67, left this world on August 22, 2026. Betty was born on January 10, 1959, in Jamestown, Tennessee to Otis and Virble (Threet) Mullinix. She was the first girl with 5 older brothers, but she definitely held her own as she got older.

Betty grew up in Shideler/Eaton area and attended school at Eaton Elementary and graduated from Delta High School. She went on to receive an associate degree from Kansas State.

Betty was a homemaker until her girls started school. Then she started working for C&R Provider Services for many years. Then she began to drive a delivery truck for Garden Cut, when it was sold to Indianapolis Fruit she continued to work for them as a quality control manager. After being there for years, she became a manager for Butterfield Foods, which was a division of Marsh Supermarkets, where she worked until she retired due to a motorcycle accident in 2003.

Betty loved to go shopping and she loved to drink hot black coffee all day long!! Betty loved to hear the birds chirping and calling her family on the phone daily. She loved spending time with her grandsons and being involved in their lives. Betty was a strong and independent woman who was a teen mom but went on to raise her daughters on her own.

Betty is preceded in death by her parents, brothers Eddie Lee and Johnny Mullinix, nephews Michael Allen and Danny Mullinix Jr., nieces Veronica and Amber Mullinix.

Betty is survived by her daughters Jamie (Shane) Reed and Stacey Ray, grandsons Riley (Lyndsey) Ray, Seth (Annie) Reed, and Rory Garrett, granddaughter Memphis Reed, brothers Ronnie (Mary), Danny (Cheryl), Michael (Reisha) Mullinix, sisters Donna (Phillip) Cooper, Debbie (Michael) Eberly, along with several nieces and nephews.
