Betty Jean Likens passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on July 13, 2026, at the age of 70. She was born on June 15, 1956, in Indianapolis, Indiana, a city that remained close to her heart throughout her life.

Betty’s journey was marked by deep connections with her family and friends, and her unwavering dedication to those she loved. She was the cherished daughter of the late Melvin Eugene Likens and Sadie Mae Mahan, whose values and spirit she carried forward in all that she did. She is survived by her devoted sister, Tina Lynn Nichols (Larry), her niece, Jennifer Lee Baxter (Jeremy), and her nephew, Matthew Scott White, both of whom held special places in her heart. She also leaves behind her great nephew and great niece Julius Alexander Adkins and Olivia Lauren Dellinger (Tristan), who shared in her life’s journey and will forever remember her warmth and kindness.
