Beatrice Ann Berry

Beatrice “Bea” Ann Berry, 97, of Carmel, IN, passed away on August 6, 2025, at her home in Carmel. She was born June 2, 1928, Ft. Wayne, IN, to the late Peter Christie and Claire (King) Christie.

After completing her education, attending Shortridge High School, she was a vocalist in Indianapolis with big bands and later worked for much of her life as a seamstress. She worked for a variety of places in central Indiana, including Potpourri in Zionsville, Bridal Boutique in Carmel, and Abigail’s at Keystone at the Crossing. Bea enjoyed her work, often bringing pieces home with her and even attending clients’ celebrations to ensure her alterations were perfect. Bea is survived by, Chris Stone (daughter), Linda Brown (daughter), Melissa Brown (granddaughter), Jeff Stone (son-in-law). She was preceded in death Tom Berry(husband); Peter and Claire Christie(parents); Gay Stevenson(sister); and Paul Christie(brother).

Memorial contributions may be made in Bea’s memory to an animal rescue or humane society of the donor’s choice.
