Barry Wayne Nichols

Barry Wayne Nichols passed away on October 12, 2023. He was born in Plainfield, Indiana on May 9th, 1947 to his parents Ellis and Roseanna (Scott) Nichols.

 

Barry grew up and went to school in Plainfield, Indiana. Barry joined the Army in 1966 and received his GED while he was in the service in Vietnam. Barry was very proud of his service for his country and spoke of it often. Barry requested that we honor our Men and Women who have served at any time in their lives (past or present).

 

Barry had many things and activities that he enjoyed through out his lifetime. Barry loved to play baseball as a kid and loved raced cars his entire life. His other hobbies were fishing, riding horses and traveling.

 

Barry is survived by his wife Terri Nichols, Step Sons Jason and Jacob Martin, Daughter in Law, Natalie Martin, Brother Jack Nichols, Nephews Chris and Danny Nichols. 

 

He is proceeded in death by Ellis and Roseanne Nichols, Brother Jerry Nichols, Sister Eileen Nichols, Sister in Law, Joan Nichols

 

Funeral Services are being held at Indiana Funeral Care - Harry W Moore, Chapel, 8151 Allisonville Road, Indianapolis, IN 46250. A memorial visitation will be on Wednesday, October 18, 2023 from 2:00 to 3:00 with a memorial service beginning at 3:00 PM.  The burial will take place at Crown Hill National Cemetery at a later date.
