Barbara Ragon

Barbara A. Ragon, 79, of Westfield IN

passed away on January 17, 2023, at Ascension St. Vincent Hospital, Carmel IN. A memorial mass will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, January 21, 2023, at St. Maria Goretti Church, Westfield IN. Visitation will be held at 10:30 AM at St. Maria Goretti Church. 

Mrs. Ragon was born on September 17, 1943 in Newark New Jersey to Elinor T. Mallon and David J. Mallon. 

Mrs. Ragon graduated from St. Agnes Academy in 1961and from St. Elizabeth School of Nursing, Lafayette, Indiana in 1964.  She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from The College of St. Francis in 1991. She began her nursing career at St. Vincent Hospital, Indianapolis, Indiana, in 1964, where she continued to work  for 36 years.

Barbara was a devoted mother to her son, Carl V. Ragon, Jr., who survives. She is also survived by her siblings, David J. Mallon Jr., Mary Elizabeth Furlow, and Kathleen Leonard as well as many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother Dennis M. Mallon.
