Arletta Alfreda Meredith

Freda Meredith was born Arletta Alfreda Yingst on December 27, 1935. She was born to Bill & Myrtle Yingst in Fair Oaks, Arkansas. She was the 9th of 10 children. She married her sweetheart James Meredith on November 28, 1952. The couple were blessed with 3 children; twins Jeff & Rhonda and later, Joy. They celebrated 70 years of marriage in November, 2022. 

Freda worked in market research for over 40 years. She was an active member of Cornerstone Baptist church. She enjoyed her Sunday school class, The Young At Heart class. 

Freda loved to travel. She had been on multiple cruises with family and friends. She loved being with family and showering them with gifts.  She is survived by her children; Jeff Meredith, Rhonda (Mark) Reynolds, & Joy (Mark) Weaver, grandchildren; Kelly (Brian) Roth, Luke (Jessica) Meredith, James (Tobi) Reynolds, John (John) Reynolds, Michael (Ashley) Weaver, great grandchildren; Carson, Mariah, Sarah, Lilah, Carter, Cole, Scarlet, Ryder, Archer, Colton, Cody, Camden, Jayden, Braxten, Emery, and her sister; Billie Meredith. Freda is preceded in death by her Husband Jim Meredith, her daughter-in-law Brenda Meredith, and 8 siblings.

Services will be held at Cornerstone Baptist Church on Friday, January 19, 2024, 10701 E. 56th Street, Indianapolis, IN 46235. Visitation will be from 10am to 11am with a service beginning at 11am. She will be laid to rest privately at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
