Ardella M. Covington was born December 27, 1936, in Columbus, Ohio. Her time on earth ended August 18, 2021. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lee and Isabella Alexander, Brother, Albert Alexander, Sister, Elizabeth Watson, and daughter, Robin Roddy.
She lived the majority of her life in Indianapolis, Indiana. Touching and inspiring young and old along the way. She supported her grandchildren with love and by attending numerous dance recitals and plays, as well as their sporting events. Many knew her as "granny", and looked forward to hearing her cheered all of the children on as they played.
Ardella was also a woman of God, and active in her church, Womack Memorial CME Church, where she served in various post.
Her memories are cherished by her brother Theodore (Audrey) Alexander; sister Rebecca Morgan; daughters Jacqueline Rice, Dolores (James) Andrews; granddaughter Bianca (Andrew) Twiss; grandsons James lV, Kenneth, Thomas Andrews; great grandson Jaden Andrews, other relatives and friends.
