Anna Marie Mingus

Anna Marie “Rea” Mingus, 66, of Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away on April 2, 2025, at her home in Indianapolis. 

After completing her education, Anna worked for much of her life in shipping and receiving. Anna lived in Odessa, Texas for several years, and enjoyed time with her friends, and exploring life on her own. She returned to Indianapolis in the early 1980s to be closer to her family. 

Anna will be remembered by her family as a loving, generous sister and aunt. She was a very private person who was devoted to her family. She enjoyed collecting Christmas ornaments and making tie blankets for every family member - including the pets! 

Anna is survived by her sister, Marti Bowman; nephew, Benjamin (Maria Chemello) Bowman; niece, Victoria “Tori” (Jason) Wenger; and great-nephews and niece, Donavin (Peyton), Lauren, and Elias Wenger. 

She was preceded in death by her mother, Patricia Mingus, grandparents, James and Mabel (Russell) Dailey, nephew, Adam Bowman, and great-niece, Amelia Wenger.
