Angel Maria Nelson

Angel Maria Nelson, a cherished soul, was born on November 12, 1973, in Manassas, Virginia. She graced this world with her kindness and vivacity until she departed from us on October 28, 2025, in Greenwood, Indiana, after bravely facing the challenges of ALS, a terminal and debilitating illness.

Angel had an undeniable spirit that touched the hearts of everyone who knew her. She was a devoted mother to her three children, Jessie, Jordan, and Alicia, always inspiring them with her unwavering love and resilience. The joy she derived from being a mother shone brightly in her eyes, a light that will forever remain etched in their memories. In addition to her children, Angel was the proud grandmother of a beloved granddaughter, who brought immense happiness to her life.

Angel's loving nature extended beyond her immediate family. She was blessed with a supportive and caring mother, Lora, and her step-father, who stood by her through thick and thin. Her father, Jessie, and step-mother, Dajah, Angel shared a beautiful bond with her boyfriend, Jason Henderson, who brought her comfort and companionship, especially during her final days.

The warmth of Angel Maria Nelson's heart and her beautiful spirit will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege to know her. Her love will live on through her children and grandchildren, her family, and all the lives she touched with her kindness.
