Amelia “Amy” Morris was welcomed into the arms of Jesus, March 10, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born October 25, 1960, and was a lifelong resident of Indiana. She is lovingly remembered by her friends and guardians of 28 years, Rob and Becky Niles, their children Morgan Niles (Luke Purcell), Dylan (Cameron) Niles and Gavin (Emily) Niles, and her good friend Geneva McGlynn.

Amy spent most of her adult life in Warsaw, IN, attending adult day programs at Cardinal Services of Indiana. She made many lifelong friends there. Anywhere Amy went in the community she would see someone she knew, and everyone was happy to see her.

After being diagnosed with cancer and having a life-altering surgery, Amy moved to Indianapolis where she could be closer to her guardians and still participate in community activities. At New Hope of Indiana she quickly made friends and joined in art, music and other classes.

Amy was an athlete with Special Olympics for 25 years, competing in bowling, bocce, and track and field. She loved art, Chinese food, shopping and playing UNO. She was a connoisseur of coffee and enjoyed baking cookies for the firefighters down the street. Amy’s smile and laughter were contagious, and she was everyone’s friend. She was a past member of Victory Rock Church in Warsaw, IN. Amy spoke often of having Jesus in her heart, and we know she is with Him now.

We would like to thank Jessica, Erron and the wonderful staff at New Hope for their excellent care and love for Amy. Thank you to the nurses at Paradigm Health. And thank you to the staff and friends at Cardinal Services for their many years of support.

A celebration of life for Amy will be held Saturday, May 2, 2026, from 2-5 pm at Indiana Funeral Care, 8151 Allisonville Road, Indianapolis. To honor Amy’s cheerful personality we ask guests to wear something colorful to celebrate her happiness.

Private interment will be at a later date in Deerfield Cemetery, Morrow, Ohio.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Special Olympics Indiana, Kosciusko County.
