Alberta Florence Morgan, née Robinson, passed away on August 22, 2026, at University Heights Health and Living in Indianapolis, Indiana. She was born on April 20, 1932, in Indianapolis, and spent her life rooted in the place where she was born.
Alberta will be remembered for the care she showed to her family and for the simple, lasting things she created with her hands. She loved quilting and made many quilts over the years for her grandchildren, leaving them gifts that carried her warmth, time, and love. In 1972, while in Lafayette Indiana, she was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses. An important decision in her life and faith.
Alberta is survived by her daughters, Sharon Hunt (Michael), Virginia Morgan, Nancy Harshman (Kevin), Katherine Wynkoop, and Caroline Columbus (Josh), and by her son, Carl Morgan. She is also survived by her sister, LaVonne Nontel, 25 grandchildren, upwards of 60 great grandchildren, many great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She leaves behind a family who will continue to hold her memory close and remember her with love.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dale W. Morgan Sr.; her mother, Helen Davidson; and her sons, Dale W. Morgan Jr., Richard W. Morgan, and John S. Morgan III. She was also preceded in death by her siblings Neva Hull, Erma DeLieto, Bill Robinson, Donald Robinson, Charles Robinson, and Larry Davidson. Their memories remained part of the story of her life, and she now rests in peace with those who went before her.
Visitation will be held on September 12, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Indiana Funeral Care, Greenwood Chapel, 2433 E. Main St., Greenwood, IN 46143. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the same location.
Alberta Florence Morgan will be remembered with affection for her devotion to her family, her faith, and the many handmade expressions of love she shared through the years. Her life touched many, and her memory will remain a blessing to those who knew her.
