Alan E. Bunch, 62, of Indianapolis passed away Friday, July 5th, 2024.
Alan was the beloved husband to Linda for 36 years, they were married January 2, 1988, at Saint Lawrence Church in Indianapolis, Indiana. Alan was an insightful, generous, hardworking man of faith. As a certified hand therapist, he positively impacted the lives of many people, restoring their quality of life. God was the guiding force in how he lived his life and approached others.
Woodworking, picture framing, gardening, coaching his kids’ sports, playing with the dog, and volunteering at the church were things that brought him joy. His men's groups at St. Simon were a significant part of his life, bringing him many friendships. Alan was known for his sense of humor and was also known to play pranks on his co-workers at the clinic. Alan made people smile and continued to spread his faith in every interaction.
Alan is survived by his devoted wife, Linda (Babcock) Bunch; their three children, Jordan, Alex and Whitney all of Indianapolis; sister, Aleen of New Albany; mother-in-law, Phyllis Babcock of Fishers; brother-in-law, Michael (Mareth) of Zebulon; brother-in-law, Bill (Brenda) of Noblesville; brother-in-law, John (Rhonda) of Fishers; nieces, Evelyn Babcock, Bailey Perez, Kaitlyn Duncan, Madison Morrow (Andrew), Anna Sanders, and Madison Babcock; nephews, Zachary Babcock, Matthew Babcock, Ethan Babcock, Brandon Babcock, and Dr. Joe Pleen.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alva and Betty (Self) Bunch; father-in-law, John Babcock; brothers-in-law, Robert and Frank Babcock, as well as his siblings, Barbara, Betsy, and Ernie.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the St. Simon Catholic Church, 8155 Oaklandon Rd. in Indianapolis, on Saturday, July 13th at 1:00pm with the visitation starting at 11:00 am until the service time.
