Aida Nilsa Ruiz

Aida Nilsa Ruiz born December 15, 1943 passed away peacefully on Friday, September 1st, 2023 with her Daughter and Grandson by her side. She was 79 years old.

Aida was raised in Aguada, Puerto Rico. She later moved to Bronx, NY and created a full life with her late husband, Ernesto Ruiz, and her only child, Grisel Ruiz.

In 2005, she moved to Indianapolis, IN to be closer to her only daughter and grandchildren.

Aida was a dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother. She was an avid lover of flowers, angels, and butterflies. Her amazing cooking is known amongst her community as the best of the best, filling everyone’s spirits and stomachs with laughter and joy.

To know her was to love her.  She had a smile that lit up the entire room and a contagious laugh that resounded  with everyone. 

She’s preceded in death by her late husband of 53 years, Ernesto Ruiz.

She leaves behind:

Her daughter: Grisel (Paul)

Three Grandsons: Julian, Joey, Jacob

Her Grandaughter: Jesenia

And One Great Grandson: Eddie.

As well as a host of Nephews, Nieces, and great friends and family who will all miss her dearly.

Memorial Service in her honor is schedule for Friday, September 8th, 2023 from 9-11 AM
