In Loving Memory of Abigail Beth Fielder

Abigail Beth Fielder, age 56, of Indianapolis,, Indiana, passed away peacefully on August 27, 2026. Her loving husband of 26 years, Ric Faude was by her side.

Abby was born on March 12, 1970 in Anderson, Indiana to Fred and Emily Fielder. She graduated from Madison Heights High School in 1988 and went on to earn an Accounting degree from the University of Wyoming.

Abby was a devoted wife, daughter, sister and friendwhose wonderful sense of humor and unique personality brought laughter and warmth to the people fortunate enough to know her. Outside of work, Abby found joy in simple things. She loved cooking, taking pleasure in creating meals for the people she loved. Everyone was always excited when Abby brought a dish to a family dinner and there were never leftovers of a meal she had prepared. In addition, she had extraordinary patience for constructing intricate LEGO sets, spending hours carefully putting together creations piece by piece.

Those who knew Abby will especially remember her wonderful sense of humor. Her wit, warmth, and unmistakable personality will be deeply missed, along with her love of animals. Most of Abby’s pets throughout her life found her. She was the first to rescue a stray pup from the side of the road or take in a dog in need of a home.

Abby is survived by her devoted husband of 26 years, Ric Faude; her mother, Emily Fielder (Fishers); sisters Amy Alston (Indianapolis), Angie Fielder (Allen Park, MI), nephew Dustin Morris (Indianapolis); great nieces Harper and Zoe Morris and great-nephew Truman Morris. In addition, she is survived by her beloved dog Piper. She is preceded in death by her father, Fred Fielder and her loving dog Lilly.

Abby leaves behind a lifetime of memories and the love of those who knew her. She will be remembered not only for the things she accomplished, but for the laughter she shared, the people she loved, and the unmistakable presence she brought into their lives. She was deeply loved and will forever be remembered and profoundly missed by her family and friends.

In lieu of flowers a donation to The Anderson Protection League would be greatly appreciated as they were severely affected by the recent flooding in central Indiana.

A celebration of Abby’s life will be held September 1, 2026 at Indiana
