Victoria Lynn Church

July 24, 1947 — March 23, 2022

Victoria Lynn Church, lovingly known as “Dot” to everyone who knew and loved her, age 74, of Evansville, Indiana, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, March 23, 2022, leaving a hole in our hearts forever, very unexpectedly.

She was born July 24, 1947, in Oakland City, Indiana to Victor M. Church and Irma V. (Low) Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Jack Smith, Stephen Michael Church, David Church, and sister, Carlotta Nicholson.

She is survived by her two daughters, Amanda Haynie (Jason Haynie) of Evansville, Indiana, Sally Karnes of Fort Myers, Florida, and her siblings, Judy Marsh(Ron) of Terre Haute, Indiana, and Dan Church of Greenwood, Indiana.

She was blessed in this lifetime to have 10 grandchildren: Chase (20), Chastin (18), Olivia (16), Avery (14), Nathaniel (10), Annika (9) Gemma (7), Archer (4), Elora (10 months) of Evansville, IN, and Amari (6), of Florida.
Her grandchildren were her greatest joy, and she will forever be missed by each of them.

She is also survived by several nieces and nephews across the country who loved her dearly, many of whom she served as mom #2.

She was a proud graduate of Whiteland High School in 1965 and looked forward to each and every reunion.

After graduation, she worked at Western Electric and AT&T until she took early retirement. She then worked in the medical billing field, where she met many lifelong friends she loved dearly, and ultimately retired and moved in with her daughter Amanda to be a stay-at-home grandma and enjoy the rest of her days.

She loved antiques, listening to the oldies, watching true crime shows, Law And Order, and Survivor. Dot enjoyed taking trips to the casino and going out to eat with her family. She loved to cook for her family; her fried chicken, potato salad, and cheesy potatoes/Mac and cheese can never be duplicated.

Vickie(Dot) had a very kind, generous, and loving heart. She gave her all to make those around her happy, and to make sure they were cared for and safe. She selflessly gave so much of herself to everyone she cared for without a second thought.

She is and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
