Steven G. Norris, 70, of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away Saturday, May 16, 2020 in Indianapolis.
He was born on Wednesday, August 10, 1949 to Stanford and Emma (Livers) Norris in Indianapolis, Indiana. Steve grew up in Indianapolis and graduated from Emmerich Manual High School and from Purdue University. He joined the US Navy on January 18, 1968 and was honorably discharged on January 16, 1970. Steve was a Marion County Sherriff for 22 years.
He married Erlinda Baltazar on July 19, 2007 and spent then next 13 years making memories.
Steve is preceded in death by his father, Stanford Norris.
He is survived by his wife, Erlinda B. “Linda” Norris; mother, Emma (Livers) Norris; daughters, Tonya (Jeff) Randolph, Tiara (Montez) Washington; brother, Dewyne (Carla) Norris grandchildren, Asmaa, Gerrid, Xaveoa, Alannah, Kamon, Arianaa, Jahmir; and great grandchild, D’Andta Jr.
Visitation will be Saturday, May 23, 2020 from 10:00 am until 1:00 pm at Indiana Funeral Care/Greenwood Chapel.
Service will begin at 1:00 pm and Minister Timothy Bass to officiate.
