Robert Lee Phillips passed away at home on his 92nd birthday, October 30, 2019. Born in St. Louis, MO in 1927 to the late John & Clara Phillips, Robert married Billie (Hand) in 1948, & together had a daughter, Deborah Lee Grayson (Phillips). Robert was preceded in death by Deborah, & is undoubtedly rejoicing in their heavenly reunion.
Robert served in the Army in World War II, and was an avid fisherman, animal lover & grill master. He loved spending time with family, had a lively sense of humor, and was always quick with a joke.
Robert is survived by his wife of 71 years, three grandchildren, Kirstin (Mike) McRee of Fishers, IN, Brittany (Ian) Steff of Vienna, VA & Blythe Grayson of Fishers, IN; and 3 great-grandchildren Zoe, Daniel & Owen.
Services & burial will be held Friday, November 22nd at 1:30pm(CST) at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, MO.
