Richard 'Rick' Allen Haston

June 17, 1945 — June 26, 2020

Richard “Rick” Allen Haston

Dad was born to William “Bill” and Elizabeth “Betty” Haston on June 17, 1945. He was the youngest of seven.

Dad died on June 26, 2020 to go be with his Savior Jesus and to reunite with his parents and five of his siblings. They are rejoicing together. Dad’s last few years were marked with physical struggles from a heart attack in 2011. When he was doing all he could, he loved being active. His passions ranged from horseback riding, trips to Lake Michigan where he would toss his kids and later his grandkids into the water, playing card games with his family, and a steak dinner from Chili’s. He loved laughing and making others laugh. Dad graduated from North Central High School in 1964. He attended Pillsbury Bible College in Minnesota before being drafted into the Navy. He spent most of his career owning his own photography studio called Latent Images, and continued to be an avid photographer even after he retired from the studio.

He is survived by his older brother Jim Haston; his three kids, Trenton Haston, Carrie (Nathan) Sinsabaugh, and Ricky Haston; his five grandchildren, Adeleine, Marta, Asher, Gilead and Helen Sinsabaugh; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Dad’s earthly life of struggles are over. We rejoice with him in his reunion with family and his restoration of body and mind. Dance, sing and ride horses, Dad!
