Richard Andrew Amos 54, of Indianapolis, IN passed away on June 12, 2021. He was born in Indianapolis, IN on September 6, 1966 to James Sherman Amos Jr and Gail I Amos-Kirby.
Rick is survived by his wife Beth Amos who he proudly married on 8/18/18. His daughter Jacqueline (Jackie) Amos, and sons Michael Lagos, and Danny Lagos, and his 5 other children by marriage and 13 grandchildren as well as his siblings Russ Tuttle ( Sharon), Robert Jay Amos ( Denise) , Todd Amos ( Lisa) , Betty Kirby ( Gene Ray) , Jimmy Kirby ( Carolyn) Melinda (Mindy) Nichols ( Terry), Jamie Finch ( Kenny) and many nieces and nephews.
Rick was preceded in death by his parents James S. Amos Jr and Gail I. Kirby, and brother James S. Amos III
He had a heart of gold and a quiet demeanor he was a great husband, father, and brother. He loved spending time with his family and friends, and his little buddy Rocky, but his passion was stock car racing and tinkering on his hot rods, and putting together model cars, trucks and semis. He loved to cut up and have a good time. He could make you smile when you were having a bad day with his silly grin.
He will be forever in our hearts and greatly missed.
Visitation will be on Friday, June 18, 2021 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Indiana Funeral Care, 8151 Allisonville Road, Indianapolis, IN 46250. Funeral services immediately following at 2:00 PM. He will be laid to reset at Union Chapel Cemetery.
