Raymond H Price, 72 of Indianapolis, IN passed away at his home on May 17, 2021. He was a journalist and retired pastor. He pastored several churches in Illinois and retired from Christians United Church in Indianapolis.
Ray was born in Amarillo TX on May 19, 1948 to Arthur “Lucky” and Bonnie Flo Price. He loved God, family and friends. He is survived by his wife Debra of Indianapolis, 2 sons Raymond Jr (Oretta) Price of Tennessee and Eric (Ella) of Hong Kong and 3 daughters Julie Trammel-Price of Indianapolis, Melinda Owens of Illinois, Melissa Owens (John) of Illinois, Brother Carl (Brandi) Price of Texas, Sisters Lisa Mathias of Texas, Kathy Lange of Illinois, Vicki (Terry) Weikle of Illinois, Carmen (Loy) Collins of Illinois MaryAnn Stence of South Dakota, and Brother in law Jim (Cheryl) Alsup of Indianapolis.
Ray was proud of his 21 grandchildren Tyler Kersey, Haley (Dakota) Hilton, Larry Ray Bates, Nicholas (Holly) Bates, Tasha (Brandon) Marcum, Silas (Sonia) Trammel, Kristopher Price, Mollie (Raymond) Marshall, Maxamillion (Kate) Owens, John Mitchell (Avery) Owens, Morgan (Henry) Owens, Coty (Ambrosia) Owens, Koltt (Desiree) Owens, Caden Owens, Jonah Keller, Noah Keller, Mikala (Nick) McGahee, Jacob Price, Danielle Price, Dimple Casao and Shy Casao. As well as his 17 great grandchildren and his 4 legged buddy (Mitzi).
Ray was preceded in death by his parents, step mother Joann Price mother in law Jean Alsup-Hofer, 2 brothers Preston and Jeffrey Price and one grandchild Kolby Owens.
In Lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to Christians United Church in memory of Ray
A celebration of life is being planned at Christians United Church 900 N Mitthoeffer Rd Indianapolis on Saturday June 26, 2021 at 11am. Ray asked that you wear your favorite sports team apparel.
