Raylene Dorothy Branham

Raylene Dorothy Branham, age 80, of Beech Grove, Indiana formerly of North Vernon passed away on Monday, December 30, 2019 at her residence. She was born to the late Leonard and Florence (White) Hires on July 31, 1939 in Anderson, Indiana.

Raylene was a jack of all trades having various jobs throughout her life. She was a beautician, bartender, cook, and caterer. Raylene was a member of the Moose Lodge Chapter 1589 since 1980 in Beech Grove, Indiana, Eagles since 1996 in Beech Grove, Indiana, and Amvets Auxillary in North Vernon for nearly 15 years. She enjoyed crocheting and cooking. Raylene was an avid card player and could be found playing euchre, 500 rummy, and poker at any of the lodges she was a member of. She was a talented cake decorator and loved making cakes for celebrations at the lodges. Raylene married the late Tandy Branham in 1972 in Lawrence, Indiana and he passed away on June 28, 1996.

She is survived by her loving children, Kaylene Allen, Cindy Howard, Allen Barron, and Brenda Barron; her grandchildren, Brandon Owens, Steve Owens, Kenny Marcum, and Heather Marcum; her great grandchildren, Alexis Marcum, Gracyn Carlson, Trevor Marcum, Steven Crafton, Alex Davidson, Logan Owens, Brayden Owens, and Gabriella Owens; and her great great grandchildren, Jackson Pestoff, Landon Pestoff, and Brynnleigh Stoltz.

In addition to her parents and husband, Raylene is preceded in death by her sisters; Clara Hires, Marietta Callahan, and Catherine Whetsel.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 7, 2020 and from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 8, 2020 at Indiana Funeral Care - Greenwood Chapel, 2433 East Main Street, Greenwood, Indiana 46143. The Funeral Service will follow at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 8, 2020 at Indiana Funeral Care - Greenwood Chapel with Celebrant Alex Adams officiating. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at the Moose Lodge (3320 South Emerson, Beech Grove, Indiana 46107) immediately following the burial.
