Owen Kent Huntsman

Owen Kent Huntsman left this earth and went to be with our heavenly father on Saturday, May 16, 2020, at Logansport Memorial Hospital. He was born May 10, 2019 to Brittany Helms and Levi Huntsman. Owen was a micro preemie, weighing only 1 lb, 2 oz at birth. He has been our little warrior over the past year, through it all. He touched many hearts and lives during his short time here with us.


He is survived by his parents and sister, Violet; maternal grandparents, Vickie and Dave King of Kokomo,IN; great-grandpa, Wendell Steele of Arkansas; special great-aunt, Robin "Nana"(Daniel) Lawson of Galveston,IN; paternal grandparents, Lewis Huntsman of Kokomo,IN and Tereasa Sexton of Peru,IN. Owen is survived also by many aunts and uncles, including Bethany (Carlton) Green of Kokomo,IN, Kelsey Helms of Kokomo,IN, Abagail Helms of Ohio, and Lewis Huntsman Jr, of Peru,IN. Also many cousins including, Brian and Brooklyn Greorge, Briella Green of Kokomo,IN. Jaylynn Cannon of Kokomo,IN. Mia and Amileah Harris of Kokomo,IN.

He was preceded in death by Maternal Grandpa Kevin Helms, and Great Grandmother Nadine Steele.


The family would like to give great thanks to all of his care providers over the past year. First at Community North NICU, Riley Childrens Hospital- both the NICU and the PICU, Logansport Memorial Hospital, and Camelot Care Center. There will be a small viewing and with service to follow for close friends and family on Saturday, May 23, 2020. Visitation will be from 2pm to 3pm with service beginning at 3:00pm. The service is at Gospel Light Mission Church in Kokomo, IN with Pastor Terry Russell officiating.
