Ogira Katherine Johnson

Ogira Katherine "Kathie" Johnson, age 67, of Camby, Indiana passed away at 1:40 p.m. on Wednesday, December 4, 2019 at Franciscan Hospice House in Indianapolis, Indiana. She was born to the late William Overton and Joy (Henley) Williams on February 13, 1952 at Camp Atterbury in Edinburgh, Indiana.

Kathie was a sheet metal worker at the GM Truck & Bus Plant for nearly 15 years. She enjoyed completing word search and jigsaw puzzles. Kathie was family oriented and always loved family gatherings and Christmas. She always had a smile on her face for everyone and was a sweet, smart and giving person. Kathie's favorite Shirley Temple film was Curly Top (1935) when the song "Animal Crackers in My Soup" was introduced. She was united in marriage in 1978 to Robert Alan Johnson on Pensacola Beach in Florida.

Kathie is survived by her loving husband of 41 years, Robert Alan Johnson. She also leaves behind 3 daughters, 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 12, 2019 at Valley Mills Christian Church, 5555 Kentucky Avenue, Indianapolis, Indiana 46221.
