After relocating and making Indianapolis her home Lue Ella united with Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church. She later moved her membership to Umoja Christian Church, her final church home was Purpose of Life Ministries under the leadership of Pastor Rev David W Greene Sr. At all of her places she worshipped she loved to use her gift which was they her voice she was part of the choir, the praise teams. She loved to sing and praise the Lord.

While being a member of Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church, she also was the director of The Crisis Care Center which she loved. She loved giving and helping people. Everyone loved there Ms. Pirtle.
Lue Ella did not meet a stranger, she help people anyway she could by providing transportation to pantries, doctors appointments and an occasional stop at the mall. Lue Ella loved to dress even if she was just going to the grocery store that outfit was matching from head to toe.
