Lela Imogene Bryant, 92, of Indianapolis (and formerly Clearwater, Florida), passed away on April 07, 2022. Lela was born on June 8th, 1929 in Clay City Indiana to Ray and Verna Sinders. She married Jack L Bryant on August 13, 1948, who preceded her in passing on March 1st, 2016.
Lela was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who devoted hours to help her children and grandchildren learn and grow. Lela loved playing games (bingo, Yahtzee, dominoes, etc.). From her time as a child on the farm in Clay City and through her whole life, she always had a strong Christian faith.
She is survived by her children, Don Bryant, Jerry Bryant (Cheryl), Gary Bryant (Becky), and Peggy Mount (Stan); 12 grandchildren, Kaeli, Grant, Julie, Jennifer, Renee, Justin, Jacob, Kyle, Kelly, Mike, Lisa, and Amanda; 18 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; David Sinders (brother); Ann Delorme (sister); she was preceded in death by Merle Sinders (brother) and Ruth Schafer (sister).
A Celebration of Life will be held at New Hope Baptist Church in Clay City IN on July 30, 2022.
