Kevin DeArcy Martin

March 20, 1963 — April 3, 2022

Kevin DeArcy Martin “Cadillac” as he was affectionately called by his Mom, and “Kdogg” by his Colts Family, was born March 20, 1963 in Indianapolis, Indiana to George Augusta Martin and Sadie Malone. Kevin was the baby of six children. Kevin attended elementary schools #41 and #60 and High Schools Shortridge and Arlington in Indianapolis Indiana. After graduation he joined the Army. At an early age Kevin gave his life to Christ attending Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church and continued his Faith walk until his passing.

Kevin held many positions in Customer Service at United Healthcare, Stericycle and Anthem Healthcare. While those were fulfilling, his most prized position was an Usher/Security at Lucas Oil Stadium. Kevin started working at Lucas Oil Stadium in 2011. This job became more than a job to him over the span of 11 years. He became family to so many of the Colts season ticket holders - Rick and Joannie Stevens, Cadence and David Robinson, Missy and many more. They truly adored Kevin and showed him unconditional love and support throughout his Cancer Journey. The outpouring of love they showed Kevin was truly amazing!!! Kevin was so thankful and grateful and couldn’t believe how he had touched so many lives in such a special way. Kevin was truly a people person. This was evident by his contagious smile, and loving heart and gift of making a stranger feel like his best friend. He loved having a good time with family and friends…Kevin lived his life on his terms.

Kevin was diagnosed with Liver Cancer in May of 2021, and from that day on he fought a fight with courage and tenacity and his Faith never wavered during his cancer journey! The cancer had spread throughout his body. As the pain became unbearable, Kevin made the decision to stop all treatment and said he was ready to go home to be with the Lord. Kevin received his Angelic Wings on April 3, 2022.

Kevin was preceded in death by his father, George Augusta Martin and his brothers Leslie Malone and Sherman Malone. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving and devoted Mother, Sadie Malone Billups; Sister Twyiana “Tina” Malone-Sebree (Phillip); Brothers Franchestan “Tony” Malone (Mattie) and Andre “Dre” Malone; Aunt Lucille Reed; Uncle Joe Martin and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and cherished friends.

Family Tribute:

Kevin’s life begins, ends and begins! With that said, Kevin began his life 59 years ago born and raised here in Indiana. Like most of us there’s nothing like home. His life with family and friends that loved him dearly ended April 3, 2022, but his new and everlasting life begins: being faithful in Christ that new beginning one day. Kevin’s time came and we are going to miss him here, but he is in a city paved with gold and I am happy and thankful for life with my little (big) brother. Kevin is a true fighter in every sense!! I Love you brother always until we meet again for sure. – Brother (Dre) Andre’ Malone

My baby brother was so courageous and determined to beat cancer. I saw him at his weakest and darkest moments, but he never wavered in his faith and trust in God. He always said “God got me,” and I replied yes, he does!! At Kevin’s chemotherapy appointments we talked about the goodness of God and how he continued to bless him through this journey. I told my brother at the beginning of his cancer journey I would walk beside him to the end! The memories I have from this journey will be imbedded in my heart forever!! Little brother you fought a good fight and God said it’s time to rest, for you have labored long enough! Well done, my good and faithful servant; you have been faithful over a few things.
