Kathleen Wren

Kathleen Wren was born Alice Kathleen Dunaway at Loudon Township in Fayette County, Illinois on September 5, 1928 and went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, October 14, 2020 at the age of 92, surrounded by her loving family and pastor. She was preceded in death by her parents Lane Edward Dunaway and Effie Jane Steele Dunaway, and by her husband of 64 years, W.D. Wren, brothers; William Dunaway and Charles Dunaway, sister, Faye Dunaway, and granddaughter Alicia Short.

The ones she leaves to cherish her memory; are daughters, Barbara Tatum (Al Potenza), Karen Burges (Rick), Carolyn Schwartz, Winnie Coder; sons, Henry Wren (Rhonda), Richard Wren (Carla), and Walter Wren; six grandchildren; Carla Tatum, Julie Rockwood, Brian Wren (Cori), Chris Wren, Amber Steele and Mike Schwartz. She also had four great grandchildren, Kathryn Rockwood, Ethan Wren, Tatum Wren, and Judson Wren; sister Betty Feezel, and brother James Dunaway (Jan), sister in law Ann Dunaway, and many nieces and nephews and other relatives and her beloved Vineyard Church family.

Kathleen was a very nurturing mother, she loved to cook and bake, she also loved to spend time with her family, church family and studying God’s Word. Her home was always welcoming to all who entered. She made home happy! She will be greatly missed here on earth, but all who know the Lord Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior will see her again in Heaven.

There will be a Celebration of Life Service on Saturday October 24th, 2020 at Vineyard Community Church, 1672 N. 600 W. (Mt Comfort Rd.) Greenfield, IN. Visitation will begin at 11:00 am and end at 1:00 pm., followed by her Celebration of Life Service at 1:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate a gift in Kathleen’s name, made out to Vineyard Community Church, 1672 N. 600 W., Greenfield, Indiana 46140.
