Joshua is survived by his mother Gayle Rhoades and step dad Jeff Rhoades; Sister Paige Yanson (Tyler); nephew Sullivan; his nana and Papaw Gay and John Dickey; Great Aunt and uncle: Teresa and John Phillipe; cousin Mandy Begley; Uncle Jeff Gentry (Carrie) nephew Sebastian; Great Aunt Barb Gentry; Great Aunt and Uncle: Ed Shearls (Carol); his father and step mom Kevin and Diana Pannell; Grandma Donna Pannell; Aunt Lisa Pannell (Joe)

He is preceded in death by: Grandpa and Grandpa Clyde and Thelma Shearls; Grandma Thelma Shearls; papaw Edward Pannell; Grandpa Richard Gentry

Joshua loved life and his family. He was kind and tender hearted and was always ready to help anyone in need... Joshua loved watching Good Mythical Morning and many other YouTubers. He thought about starting his own “Let’s Play” channel as he loved video gaming - especially liked virtual reality games. Spending time with his family going to concerts, Comic Con, Tennessee, Kentucky, and Portland to make memories this past year made him very happy and provided those with him meaningful memories. Josh loved watching Ghost Adventures and Ghost Hunting with his family and friends. He also found fun in ravaging through flea markets, and art stores. collecting VHS tapes and over 300 as well as collecting nostalgic toys. He would really love for each of you to take one to keep and remember him for this love. He also very much-loved hot sauce and bought a Ghost Pepper Hot Sauce from the Pepper Palace that was $17.95! He had bought several items, so he hadn’t been paying attention. Of course, he had no regrets. He also had a wonderful sense of humor and was quick witted; he loved to share iFunny puns with his family and friends. He had his own style and often sewed patches on clothes. Sometimes people would stop him to ask where he got them. Once a person wanted him to make them to sell. He loved hats and loved adding pens and patches to those as well. He was a trivia wizard and always knew who actors and actresses were in shows. Producers, musicians, groups, and their songs. He was a talented musician and played drums, guitar, trombone. He wrote poetry and music and often filled the house with music. He loved voice acting and practiced voices with Brock Baker sing alongs, His mom often joined in with him. He was a best friend to those he loved and always willing to help selflessly. His genuineness is rare these days. We have lost a son, a brother, a grandson, a cousin, and an uncle; we weep for this loss, but will also keep him alive through our memories, photos, and videos until we see him again. Josh was led to Christ by his mom when he was 9 years old as she prepared to teach Bible school. He wanted to pray the salvation prayer, and accepted Jesus as his savior, so we are assured to meet again, so rather than say goodbye we say until we see you again. We love you Josh!

Visitation will be Friday, August 7, 2020 from 2:00 until 4:00 pm at Indiana Funeral Care, Greenwood Chapel.

Funeral service will begin at 4:00 pm.
