Gwendolyn Boffo

Gwendolyn (Henson) Boffo, 69, of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away on Sunday, October 18th, 2020.
Gwen was a proud graduate of Beech Grove High School; class of 1969. After high school, she initially pursued an education in fashion design and traveled abroad to visit design studios in France, Spain, Italy, and Germany. She then devoted several years to ladies’ apparel store management, but ultimately enjoyed a long, successful career in personnel recruiting, career counseling and human resources where she found great satisfaction in developing and advancing the careers of others.
She loved reading mysteries, listening to music, singing in choir, all animals (except spiders), old movies, cooking holiday feasts, her family and most of all, her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Although unable to attend services for the past few years, she remained a member of Southport Heights Christian Church.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Estilene Anderson Henson and father, Willis Delbert Henson.
Gwen is survived by her husband of 42 years, Michael Boffo, her brother, Rick (Debra) Henson, her sister, Luana (David) Miller, her nephew, Bryan (Breana) Rothrock, and two nieces, Erin (Ben) Shockley and Elizabeth Henson.
Everyone who knew Gwen will always remember her huge smile, sparkling eyes, and loving hugs.
A celebration of Gwen’s life will be held at a later date at Southport Heights Christian Church.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association Greater Indiana Chapter.
