Our beloved son, Evan Mathews, passed away suddenly on November 29, 2019 at the age of 22. He was born December 2, 1996 in Indianapolis, Indiana to Jennifer Mathews Miner and Jeff Mathews. Evan graduated from Hamilton Southeastern in 2015. His most recent job was at Flutes, Inc, where he worked on an assembly line that manufactured corrugated cardboard.
Evan had big heart and infectious personality that touched the lives of many people throughout his life. He had a passion for music, comedy, and most importantly, film. At an early age, he created home-movies with friends by using his creative genius. He really loved movies from Marvel Comics and DC Comics. We will miss his perspectives on good movies and tv series!
He also loved animals. He was surrounded by furry friends his entire life including Tuck, Ernest, Lucy, Charlotte, Oliver, Fin, Bella, and Marley. We have no doubts they all loved him equally.
He leaves behind his Mother Jennifer Mathews Miner, his Father Jeff Mathews, Step Mother Tera Mathews, Step Father Erik Miner, and his siblings Jake Miner, Molly Miner, Abby Miner, and Jackson “Z” Miner.
He will be missed greatly, but we will hold him close to our hearts forever.
Visitation will be from 2pm - 4pm on Thursday, December 5, 2019 at Indiana Funeral Care, 8151 Allisonville Road, Indianapolis, Indiana 46250.
The family requests donations be made to Pathway to Recovery on behalf of Tikkun House, in lieu of flowers. Contributions can be made at PathwaytoRecovery.org or to Pathway to Recovery, 2135 North Alabama Street, Indianapolis, IN 46202.
