Ermaline Y. Dodd

November 27, 1968 — August 8, 2020

Ermaline Y. Dodd, 51, of Bridgetown, Barbados went to Heaven on August 8th, 2020 in Indianapolis after an unexpected fight with cancer.

Ermaline was born in Parish Land, Saint Phillip, Barbados to Llewellyn and Jenny Weekes on November 27th, 1968. She moved from Barbados to New York and, finally, to Indiana, where she graduated from Indiana Wesleyan University with an Associate’s degree in Business Management. She worked as a Production Operator for Hologic, among other companies, for several years. Ermaline was an active member of Augusta Christian Church where she worked as part of the Hospitality team, sang in the Choir, and graduated from the Greater Works School of Ministry.

Ermaline is preceded in death by her father, Llewellyn Weekes.

Ermaline is survived by her 3 sons—Te’quan, James, and Arran—her 3 brothers and 2 sisters—Glen, Peter, Rupert, Gail, and Molly—and her mother, Jenny.

Ermaline battled cancer like the warrior she was, fighting every step of the way. She will be remembered for her kind and loving heart, her fighting spirit, and the unconditional love she had for her 3 sons.

Her family would be honored if, in lieu of flowers, you would make a memorial contribution in Ermaline’s honor to the American Cancer Society.

A celebration of life will take place at Augusta Christian Church, 3445 West 71st Street, Indianapolis, IN 46268, from 6-8pm on Wednesday, August 12, 2020.
