Alice Mae Faulkner

Alice Mae Faulkner (Moore), 84, of Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away on Monday, March 28th 2022.

Born May 1st 1937 in Floyd County, Kentucky. Daughter of Aaron and Addie (Friend) Moore. She attended Orange High School and Connersville High School. While attending Connersville High School she met the love of her life John L. Bunzendahl. After John returned from completing service in the Navy they married and had a loving family with five children.

She is survived by her five children Angela Klang of Indianapolis, IN, Vanessa Hacker of Sarasota, FL, John L. Bunzendahl Jr. of Richmond, IN, Frederick W. Bunzendahl of Sarasota, FL, and Desiree Parizo of Palmetto, FL; 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She is survived by brothers, Earl (Mara) Moore of Palm Cove, FL and Lindsey (Lois) Moore of Champagne, IL, and brother-in-law Franklin Frey of Columbia City, IN., and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Laura Frey, Susie Irick, Velma Moore, and Beulah Osborn.

After her children were grown Alice moved to Florida and worked in the service industry. She later found her calling as an empathetic caregiver for brain damaged adults in Bradenton, FL. She was a member of the Presbreterian Church, Eta Pi Kappa sorority, and also a lifetime member of the Eagles Auxiliary.

In addition to being a loving mother Alice enjoyed quilting, gardening, and gourmet cooking. She encouraged her children to be self-sufficient and kind hearted.

Per her request no public services will be held. A gathering for a celebration of life will be at a later date.
