A.B. Rudy, Jr.

A. B. Rudy, Jr., 79, passed away on June 28, 2021. He was the son of A.B. and Dorothy (Green) Rudy, born on October 14, 1941 in Georgetown, KY.

A.B. was a proud graduate of Shortridge High School and attended Indiana University in Bloomington, IN. He was a member of Disciples of Christ church. In 2015 he was named a Kentucky Colonel. A.B. thoroughly enjoyed people, researching genealogy, and his later years as a personal driver. He made lifelong friendships, believed we all connect through stories, and had the attitude to always "keep it funny."

His parents and brother Thomas Eric (Rick) Rudy preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Mary; son Joe (Tricia) Rudy of Noblesville, IN and daughter Sarah (Josh) Kaminker of San Francisco, CA; grandchildren Max and Aubrey Rudy, Hannah and Mira Kaminker; sister Pat (George) Fleet of Greensboro, GA; aunt JoAnn Clayton of Rockford, MI; nieces and nephews Mike (Courtney) Rudy of Carmel, IN; Michelle (Zach) Mitchell of Avon, IN; Jenna (Lane) Lowenstein of San Carlos, CA; great nephews Elliott, Evan and Noah Rudy, Jonah and Silas Mitchell, Caleb and Ross Lowenstein. He also loved his large extended family: Darlene (Scott) Phillips of Danville, IN, Michael Randolph of Oakland, CA; grandchildren and great-grandchildren Melissa (Mike) Thompson, Alexander and Evelyn; Charles (Jenny Buchanan) Paschke; Katie (Jason) Dynes, Kaylee and Penelope; Emi Randolph.

Memorial Service will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, July 3 at Carmel Christian Church, 463 E Main St., Carmel, with celebration following.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to support the ministry of Rev. Dr. Mary Catt Rudy.
